TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

This is the detail you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.

The Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
